Sony has published a free version of its music creation software ACID Music Studio under the name of ACID Xpress, a multitrack sound editor specialized in loops, which allows you to record, edit, and mix music.
The limitations that ACID Xpress presents in comparison with ACID Music Studio are the following: the number of available tracks has been reduced to 10, you can only record one track at a time, and the quality of the final MP3 and WMA is 128 Kbps and 512 Kbps for WMV.
If you don't really know where to start, we recommend you take a look at the different tutorials that ACID Xpress comes with and you download this: loops package, which includes 10 example projects for familiarizing yourself with how to use it. The music styles are varied.

it downloads and installs great but you need to register the program and it needs an authentication code so I can't use acid express 7... any solution?
